I have written about this idea before but I thought it important to communicate it to everyone in a pod cast.  That idea is the importance of identifying your best customer.  The way you do this is through the use of geography and demographics.  All of your most valuable clients/donors have similar traits.  These traits are what identify are customer.  Once you know what the traits are, you can target them and you should target them HARD!  Have a listen.

If you are creating or launching a mailing program with a large number of pieces (typically over 50,000) you should ask about getting BMC/SCF rates.  You may be able to get your postal cost reduced beyond that of the mixed AADC rate!  Have a listen!

Is address integrity one of your concerns?  If so, ask you your list to be run through N.C.O.A. (national change of address) the next time you place a mailing order.  The mailer will take your data and bounce it against the addresses that the post office has on file and correct any outdated record.  It is less expensive than getting a new list especially if you want to keep hitting the same respondents.  Have a listen to how it can help you!
